What does BikeCare cost?
The core is free for good. An optional subscription additionally unlocks the AI features and unlimited bikes – cancel any time.
Is there a BikeCare app?
Yes. BikeCare is available for iOS on the App Store and for Android on Google Play – plus as an installable web app (PWA) right in your browser. Everything uses the same account and syncs automatically.
Do I need Strava?
No. Strava counts the kilometres automatically and saves you the trouble, but you can also enter rides manually.
Can I connect Garmin, komoot, Wahoo or my Apple Watch?
Not directly – but via Strava, and that is all it takes: Garmin Connect, komoot, Wahoo and Apple Health all connect to Strava, and BikeCare picks the rides up there automatically. Connect once, then it runs by itself. The step-by-step guide is at bikecare.app/en/guides/connect-to-strava.
Which bikes is BikeCare suitable for?
Road bike, gravel, mountain bike and e-bike – the maintenance intervals adapt to the bike type.
What happens to my data?
Your data belongs to you. It is backed up to your account automatically – new phone? Sign in and everything is there again. Uploaded document files are stored in the EU; the privacy policy sets out which services process data and for what. And you can leave at any time: maintenance history as CSV or PDF, bikes, parts, rides & history as a backup file. Viewing and logging work offline too.
How do I cancel?
With one click – no hurdles. Pro ends when the paid period runs out, your data stays.
Does BikeCare work offline as well?
Largely, yes: viewing and logging work offline too, and as soon as you are back online everything syncs with your account automatically. Signing in, the Strava import, the AI and documents need a connection.
How does the AI know which parts are fitted to my bike?
During auto-setup it researches the stock spec of your model live on the web and suggests the parts; you check and confirm them. The intervals come from BikeCare's guide values. It does not know about parts fitted later – you can adjust, add or remove parts at any time afterwards.
Which AI is inside BikeCare?
Two specialists: Claude by Anthropic – one of the world's leading AI labs – answers your questions. Perplexity Sonar, specialised in live research on the web, finds the data for your bike model. Your input is never used for AI training.
Can I manage more than one bike?
One bike on Free, unlimited on Pro – each with its own wear, its own history and its own bike fitness. Accounts that already had two bikes before the change keep both for good.
How reliable are the wear forecasts?
They are calculated, not measured: guide values per part and bike type, combined with your recorded kilometres and conditions (e.g. wet rides, and elevation gain for the brakes). No oracle, but a guide value you can follow – a look at the part beats any calculation.
